Summer Break...

I am an unemployed student currently on my summer break (4-5 months)… I am 2 weeks in and I am bored shitless. Although the sun is shining, I’m skint.

I’m currently sat in bed wondering what I can do to bide my time. Before the summer break started I said to myself that I would challenge myself to get better at using illustrator, so, now is the time.

I found out about “Blog Spoon Graphics” in college from a young teacher who was quite inspiring and determined to become a better Graphic Designer each day.

I am about to do a tutorial on how to create a music festival poster, this is by using Photoshop which I am already quite good at. Although I want to get better at using illustrator, this is just a start of create my own pieces without being stuck to a university brief and to get used to creating work randomly.

As I want to be a freelance designer, I need to get used to working on my own, being independent and showing that I can start up a project without fuss.
